Utah Club Invitational Day 1 Standouts
Cooper Crocket | Utah Gold Select
Big man showed high level agility, constantly snuffing out drives on the outside. He was a monster rebounder and had at least 10 points from put backs. He showed a solid ability to distribute from the center of the zone and brought good energy and body language.
Don Tinsley | Arizona Wild Cards
Elite level guard able to play through contact and score at all levels. He hit six threes, most through contact. He mixed in some mid range fadeways and showed a big time burst to be able to get through the hoop. His body is ready for the next level and he had multiple steals where he ripped it out of opponents hands.
Jax Clark | Utah Gold EYCL
Guard speed in a big body. He’s moving faster, so he gets a lot of rebounds in space before others can. He has the ability to handle a pick and roll pass that comes too early and still stay on balance and generate enough umph to finish. Had multiple possessions where he grabbed the defensive rebound and ran down and grabbed the offensive rebound.
Tye Cornwall | Meta Hoops Gold
Great 3 and D guy. He has long arms and good anticipation which makes it easy for him to disrupt the offense. He has a great high release and shoots just as well coming off screens as pulling up off the dribble.
Omar Mowafak | Utah Valley Prime
At 6’8” and next level strength, he’s a really great combination.. He moves well and is able to change direction, but at the point of contact, he’s going to be the bull. He dunks easily and is not afraid to break out into transition after a rebound. His arms are even longer than you would expect and he does things like reach over his shorter teammate to block a shot.
Jackson Ostler | Salt Lake Prime
Ostler is a big guard that can get down hill and put pressure on the rim. He’s got a great first step and a good ability to create angles before he puts the ball down. He’s physical enough to bump off most high school guards and he can finish over bigs at the rim.
Crew Fotheringham | Utah Prospects
He’s one of the best shooters in the west. He’s tall enough that most defenders can’t bother his shot and he doesn’t need a lot of space to pull. He can shoot in transition or driving off a screen because he can elevate so quickly. He’s a threat to pull from anywhere on the court and is great at creating when the play has broken down.
