Hugo Yimga-Moukouri | U18 Pole France INSEP Paris
He was the end of shot clock guy. If the play broke down or the ball had been reversed three times already, he would make a play. He gets enough lift off of his step back that he gets a clear release. He’s more comfortable coming off a screen, but he made a handful pulling up with his defender on his shoulder.
Dominykas Grunkis | U18 Zalgiris Kaunas
Made a lot of big shots. As the game got tighter he got more clutch. He hit two NBA threes, in the last five minutes of regulation. He was great all night long at running the offense and getting the ball to his teammates in rhythm. He used his hand offs and ball screens to force mismatches and then make easy shots for himself. Big time performance.
Gildas Gimenez | U18 Real Madrid
Madrid was down early, but made a huge run in the 2nd quarter and Gimenez was the ignition. He was electric in the open court and finished well at the rim. He made plays on defense and carried an attacking mindset to elevate the overall level of his team’s play.
Kohl Rosario | U18 Overtime Elite
Rosario has had a great summer and continued to play at a high level today. He knocked down threes and finished in transition. His body is ready for the next level and he jumps out of the gym. His decision making really stands out as almost never turns the ball over off the dribble and doesn’t need to force anything to get himself shots.
Ma Samba Gueye | U18 FC Barcelona
Plays the game at full throttle and relentlessly forces the defense to make decisions and get out of their shape. He’s very quick with the ball and with his length he’s able to score over defenders if they’re able to stay with him. He knocked down some perimeter jumpers and has a great catch and quick release. He projects well as a 2 at the next level because of his quickness and shooting.
Anil Alyanak | U18 Dubai Basketball
On a day when the scoreboard was not a friend, Alyanak displayed a high level skill set and ability to score from anywhere on the court. He was a knock down shooter and able to catch and shoot in moments when the game opened up. In the slower parts of the game, he was able to catch back-to-the-basket and use a variety of footwork moves to get himself a shot.
Luigi Suigo | U18 Emporio Armani Milan
Just changes everything with his length. Team was losing and then he powered up and his team won by 20. He covers up defensive mistakes. He can take a bump or two but still redirect the shot. He has good anticipation and doesn’t get out of position, but lets the play come to him and erases the shot.
Ognjen Srzentic | U18 Mega Super Belgrade
Srzentic was the head of the snake. He set the tone early by dripping some threes, but much of the game he was the primary ball handlers and play maker. His length is enough that he can score over a lot of guards in the key and he’s quick so it’s hard to keep him out. He also has a solid pull up game, so it’s difficult to hold him to patterns.
